The vaults of great Italian museums photographed by Mauro Fiorese

until 26/01/2020, Galleria d’Arte Moderna Achille Forti – Verona

The store-rooms of great Italian museums are revealed for the first time to the public in the photographs of Mauro Fiorese at Verona’s Modern Art Gallery.

The exhibition focuses on a series of photographs by the internationally-acclaimed, Verona-born artist who passed away prematurely three years ago.

The twenty-six shots were taken over a period of three years, from 2014 to 2016, and portray the store-rooms of Italy’s most famous museums, 13 in all, including Castelvecchio Museum in Verona, the Uffizi Gallery, the Borghese Gallery, the National Archaeological Museum in Naples, Capodimonte, the Correr Museum and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rovereto.
