Van Gogh, Monet, Degas. The Mellon Collection of French Art

until 01/03/2020, Palazzo Zabarella, Padua

After Portugal’s exhibition dedicated to Joan Miró and Denmark’s on Paul Gauguin and the Impressionists, until 1st March 2020, Palazzo Zabarella will be hosting over 70 works by Edgar Degas, Eugène Delacroix, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh and others, to celebrate Paul and Rachel ‘Bunny’ Lambert Mellon, two of the most important and sophisticated patrons of the twentieth century.

The exhibition, curated by Colleen Yarger, presents a valuable selection of works from the Mellon Collection of French Art at the Virginia Museum of Arts, covering a time span that goes from the mid-1800s to the early decades of the twentieth century, including Romanticism and Cubism.
