In a convergence between the past and the future, among ancient stones and terracotta, in the cellar of Il Ceppo delicatessen is the bistro of the city centre’s historical cuisine, a tribute to the extraordinary wine and food culture of Vicenza and baccalà, its most famous dish made from salted codfish.

A warm gathering place where you can hear the soft repose of the wines and walk over the remains of an ancient Roman road, amid Palladian vaults and 16th century relics that the Boscolo family devotedly safeguards.

A place dedicated to food, to Vicenza and to baccalà, an item that has been the subject of numerous recognitions over the years, like the double gold star at the International Taste & Quality Institute and the approval of the Confraternità del Baccalà alla Vicentina.

Then there is the wine, with over 500 labels from every region of Italy and from abroad, selected and recommended with love by Maria Giovanna and Ivana Boscolo.
